The opportunity

We’re seeking a driven Engineer - Structural Integrity to support our Processing team. Reporting to the Principal Engineer - Structural & Civil this permanent position will be on a 8/6 Roster, FIFO ex Perth.

You will need to be a highly skilled and experienced Structural/Civil Engineer to join our Processing Plant Department. The key purpose of this role is to provide technical support, conduct site structural integrity inspections, review structural/civil drawings and calculations, and manage structural and civil projects.

 

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

  • Conducting site structural integrity inspections and oversee necessary remediations.
  • Preparing scope of works (SOW), specifications, and technical documents for structural and civil projects.
  • Collaborating with the HSE department on site structural issues and during DEMIRS site inspections.
  • Ensuring all assets, both existing and new, comply with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and codes of practice.
  • Managing engineering consultants for studies, design, and verifications.
  • Oversee the construction contractors to ensure compliance with company procedures, industry regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Adhering to QA/QC and HSE policies and procedures in all tasks.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the manager.

 

To be successful in the role you must have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English preferred (Written and Oral)
  • Structural analysis and design, including mine industry processing plant structures.
  • Familiarity with Australian and International standards (e.g., AS4324.1, AS1170, AS4100, AS3600).
  • Structural Integrity Management and Asset Management. Structural inspection techniques and anomaly management.
  • Engineering and construction project management.
  • Technical expertise in maintenance and production environments.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and drive continuous improvements.
  • Proficiency in Spacegass, SAP, and MS Office
  • A current WA Manual Drivers licence is an essential requirement
